Respect for Country Job Skills Project

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures possess skills and knowledge for land and sea management activities which have been developed over thousands of years. Some of these crucial skills are described in nationally endorsed qualifications, skill sets and units that are used to equip leaners for jobs.

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the draft qualifications, skill sets and units of competency that were reviewed and developed for this work.

Your feedback is being used to inform further updates to the drafts, which will be made available for further comment and validation later this month.

Permaculture, Organic Production & Composting Project

Production systems based on principles of permaculture, organic farming and composting draw on the latest technology, as well as traditional practices, including those used by Indigenous cultures around the world. It is important the skills to produce food using these systems are captured by national skills standards.

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the qualifications, skill sets and units that were drafted to reflect the current skills needs of the permaculture, organic farming and composting sectors.

Your comments are being used to inform further updates to the drafts which will be made available for validation later this month.
