Veterinary Nursing Project: Feedback Sought on Draft Units & Qualifications

The Veterinary Nursing Project has moved to the third stage of the project process – development  which means draft units of competency and qualifications are now available for your review.

The Technical Advisory Committee and the Rural and Related Industry Reference Committee (IRC) are seeking feedback on the content of 52 existing units of competency, 5 proposed new units, and the structure of 3 qualifications.

The draft units and qualifications will be available on the Skills Impact website for stakeholder consultation until Sunday 30 April.

If you would prefer to provide feedback on the draft units in person, a series of face-to-face workshops are being arranged across the following locations. Please click here for further details and to register your interest in these free workshops.

  • SA, Adelaide (5 April, 6 – 8pm)
  • WA, Perth (6 April, 10am – 12pm)
  • TAS, Hobart (11 April, 11am – 1pm)
  • VIC, Melbourne (18 April, 10am – 1pm)
  • NT, Darwin (27 April, 10am – 2pm)
  • QLD, Brisbane (28 April, 12pm – 2pm)
  • NSW, Coffs Harbour (2 May, 9am – 11am)

You are welcome to provide feedback on as many draft units and qualifications as you would like. Please also feel free to share the drafts with others who may be interested in providing feedback.

Feedback from each individual helps to inform the work on the next version of draft units and qualifications which will be available for industry feedback in late May.

Please feel free to register your interest to keep informed of project updates.
