Update on IRC Projects

 

The following projects have all progressed to the final project stages, with final draft units of competency, skills sets and qualifications being reviewed by the relevant Industry Reference Committees (IRCs) and the Australian Industry Skills Committee (AISC). 

 

Equine Safety in Training Project

The final draft units of competency, skill sets and qualification have undergone an independent Edit and Equity and Quality Assurance process. They are currently under review by the relevant Industry Reference Committees (IRCs) and State/Territory Training Authorities (STAs/TTAs). Once complete, the final drafts will soon be submitted to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) as part of two Cases for Endorsement (one for ACM Animal Care and Management Training Package components and one for AHC Agriculture, Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management Training Package components). Greyhounds (animal welfare and racing integrity) Project

The Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) has approved the Case for Endorsement for the updated and revised units of competency, skill sets and qualifications for Greyhounds, along with a Companion Volume Implementation Guide. Read more, register your interest in updates.

 

Forest Harvesting Optimisation Project

A project report and the final draft units of competency have been forwarded to the Forest Management and Harvesting Industry Reference Committee (IRC) for support to proceed with the quality assurance stage of this project. After final quality assurance, the final draft units will be forwarded to the State/Territory Training Authorities (STAs/TTAs) for feedback. Read more, register your interest in updates.

 

Retail Baking Review Project

The final draft units of competency, skill sets and qualifications are currently being finalised prior to undergoing an independent Edit and Equity and Quality Assurance process. Once these processes have been completed, the qualifications, skill sets and units will be forwarded to the State/Territory Training Authorities (STAs/TTAs) to seek their support. Veterinary Nursing Project

The final draft units of competency and qualifications have undergone an independent Edit and Equity and Quality Assurance process and have been forwarded to the State/Territory Training Authorities (STAs/TTAs) to seek their support. Comments from the STAs/TTAs will be reviewed before the final drafts are forwarded to the Animal Care and Management Industry Reference Committee (IRC). After consideration and signoff by the IRC, the final drafts will be submitted to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC), as part of a Case for Endorsement, for consideration. Rice Processing Project

The final draft Certificate III in Rice Processing and 13 rice processing units of competency are currently being finalised prior to undergoing an independent Edit and Equity and Quality Assurance process. Once these processes have been completed, the qualification and units will be forwarded to the State/Territory Training Authorities (STAs/TTAs) to seek their support.
