Our Role Establishing Skills Insight JSC

Skills Impact held a Skills Service Organisation (SSO) role between 2016 and 2022. In 2023 we established one of ten Job and Skills Councils (JSCs), after a submission to move into the role was backed by over 200 letters of support from a broad range of industry stakeholders. This new JSC, Skills Insight, has a broader scope to deliver outcomes that support a responsive VET system and a skilled and resilient national workforce. The industry coverage of Skills Insight is similar to our past coverage as a Skills Service Organisation.

Update on AHC Training Package

Release 1.0 of the AHC Agriculture Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management Training Package will be available on training.gov.au by the end of June.

In order to release the training package, adjustments need to be made to qualifications containing performance horse units and all imported units.

The Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) endorsed the training package in March this year, with the exception of Performance Horse skills standards and qualifications. Many qualifications that were uploaded included imported units from versions of training packages that have not yet received endorsement, so work is underway to revert these units back to the current versions.

We apologise for any inconvenience this rescheduling has caused. We will send out an update via our newsletter as soon as the training package has been published.
