Our Role Establishing Skills Insight JSC

Skills Impact held a Skills Service Organisation (SSO) role between 2016 and 2022. In 2023 we established one of ten Job and Skills Councils (JSCs), after a submission to move into the role was backed by over 200 letters of support from a broad range of industry stakeholders. This new JSC, Skills Insight, has a broader scope to deliver outcomes that support a responsive VET system and a skilled and resilient national workforce. The industry coverage of Skills Insight is similar to our past coverage as a Skills Service Organisation.

This Friday is National AgDay!

All Australians enjoy world-class food and fibre grown right here in Australia. This Friday is a chance to celebrate an industry that’s part of our lives every day and to learn about our incredible agriculture sector.

National AgDay is held on the third Friday of November each year. This year’s theme, Innovation in Agriculture, will showcase the new practices and technologies that make farms more sustainable and productive.

Here are the National Farmers’ Federation’s top tips on how you can get involved in #AgDayAU 2022:

Host your own AgDay lunch, BBQ or event.
Attend one of the official AgDay events hosted by the National Farmers’ Federation and partners.
Enter the #AgDayAU photo and video competition.
Share your thoughts online by posting on social media, tagging #AgDayAU.
Shop the I Love Farmers 2022 collection and show your support for our farmers all year round.

There is also an opportunity to find out about Farmer Time; it’s a real-time initiative for K-12 students to learn where food comes from, connect with farmers and learn about careers in agriculture.
