Skills Forecasts Update

Thank you to those who provided feedback and advice on the draft Skills Forecasts for 2019 – 2022.

An updated Skills Forecast was drafted for each industry training package we support, following extensive industry consultation and research. They each included an outline of the priority skills and projects proposed for development for these industries between 2019 and 2022, which have been endorsed by Industry Reference Committees.

Feedback is being collected on the draft Skills Forecasts throughout March and April, via the online feedback hub, email and phone.

Reminder: there is still time to provide feedback on the priority skills and projects that have been proposed for the forestry and timber industry. There is also one day left to provide feedback for the aquaculture and wild catch industry.

Coming soon: the Skills Forecast for pulp and paper manufacturing will be available shortly on the Skills Impact website. If you are interested in providing feedback, make sure you are subscribed to ‘Pulp & Paper Manufacturing’ news updates.

Once feedback has been considered, the Skills Forecasts will be submitted by each IRC to the AISC for review and approval. The information will be used to update the AISC National Schedule of training package development projects.

The final versions the Skills Forecast will be published on the Skills Impact website.
