Our Role Establishing Skills Insight JSC

Skills Impact held a Skills Service Organisation (SSO) role between 2016 and 2022. In 2023 we established one of ten Job and Skills Councils (JSCs), after a submission to move into the role was backed by over 200 letters of support from a broad range of industry stakeholders. This new JSC, Skills Insight, has a broader scope to deliver outcomes that support a responsive VET system and a skilled and resilient national workforce. The industry coverage of Skills Insight is similar to our past coverage as a Skills Service Organisation.

Pharmaceutical Bioprocessing Skills Standards Published

National skills standards to support pharmaceutical bioprocessing techniques have been endorsed by the Australian Industry and Skills Committee and State and Territory Ministers. Many life-saving and enhancing medical treatments are made using pharmaceutical bioprocessing techniques. Extended Transition Period For Certificate III in Sports Turf Management

The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) has extended the transition period of the AHC31316 Certificate III in Sports Turf Management. The qualification was updated and revised as part of project work in 2019. ASQA made the decision following a request from an RTO, with the support of Skills Impact in their role as a Skills Service Organisation. All registered training organisations (RTOs) delivering the qualification to current learners now have until 20 December 2021 to transition to the updated qualification.
