Opportunity to Feedback on Nursery Units

The Agriculture and Production Horticulture and the Amenity Horticulture, Landscaping, Conservation & Land Management IRC have requested additional time to review the 14 nursery units that made up part of the Horticulture and Nursery Project.

As part of their review of the project as a whole, the IRC requested additional time for the review of 14 Nursery units due to the fact they felt that COVID-19 had prevented industry experts in NSW and VIC from being able to properly examine the final draft units. In response to this, additional meetings have been held with subject matter experts, resulting in updates to the drafts to better support individuals to gain the required competencies.

These updated drafts are now available for you to view and provide feedback.

Terminology has been reviewed and updated to be more consistent. Further feedback is sought about the proposed change from the term ‘hygiene’ to ‘biosecurity’. Feedback is also sought on whether an additional element on dispatching should be added to the unit AHCNSY312 Prepare specialised plants. Irrigation use and repair have been removed from the level 2 units, as SME advice suggested this should be covered at level 3 and above.

For more information and to provide feedback on these these units, visit the project page.
