Nominations Open for the Meat Processing IRC

The Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) is calling for nominations from industry stakeholders for the Meat Processing Industry Reference Committee (IRC).

IRCs understand the skills needs of their sector, industry or occupation and play an important role in the national training system. They advise the AISC and ensure national skills standards and qualifications meet the needs of employers, employees, training providers, and people seeking training.

The AISC is looking for individuals with extensive experience and specialist training in meat processing and beef processing. These individuals will provide expert opinions while reviewing and developing meat related training products as well as bring individual expertise and access to networks in the beef or meat processing sector. Meat processing is a highly regulated industry with both domestic and international markets susceptible to reputational risk. These people will have expertise to support training package development and proactively apply these attributes to the work of the IRC. Knowledge of the use and application of the AMP training package within the sector is highly desirable.

Nominations end close of business 27 August 2021.

Visit the AISC website for more information and to nominate.
