Nominations Open: Agriculture, Horticulture, Conservation & Land Management IRCs

The Australian Industry Skills Committee (AISC) is calling for nominations for all positions on the following Industry Reference Committees (IRCs).

  • Agriculture and Production Horticulture IRC
  • Amenity Horticulture, Landscaping, Conservation and Land Management IRC

These two IRCs will have responsibility for overseeing the development of occupational skills standards and qualifications within the AHC Agriculture, Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management Training Package.
The AISC is looking for individuals with extensive experience in and knowledge of their industry sector, with the capacity to proactively apply these attributes to the work of the IRCs. Further details are below.

Nominations for both IRCs are open until COB Monday 10 April 2017.
Until now, the Rural and Related Industries IRC has been responsible for overseeing the development of occupational skills standards within the AHC Training Package. The AISC received feedback from industry to replace the Rural and Related IRC with three IRCs, given industry concerns about the breadth of the former IRC’s portfolio. The third IRC is Animal Care and Management, which is in the final stages of finalisation, with nominations closing last week.
