Next Steps for Exhibited Animal Care & Marine Wildlife Skills Standards

Thanks to the input of industry throughout this project, the skills standards required to care for some of the world’s most rare and vulnerable animals have been recorded.

Validation of the final draft units, skill sets, and qualifications for exhibited animal care and marine wildlife has now been completed. Your feedback during this stage is being used to inform any final updates to the drafts.

They will shortly move into the finalisation stage, which involves

an edit and equity and independent quality assurance process, and consideration of the draft by the State/Territory Training Authorities (STAs/TTAs). With STA/TTA support, the drafts will then be forwarded to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) and State and Territory Ministers for endorsement.
