New Pharmaceutical Learning Resources

A range of resources and tools are now available to support training delivery of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Operator Induction Skill Set. The skill set was developed to support the pharmaceutical industry in their urgent response to the COVID-19 health crisis. The skill set is designed for workers entering the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, particularly those working with bioprocessed products, such as vaccines and antibody testing devices. The training resources and tools include:

  • Trainer Guide: Contains training materials to address all four units of competency in the skill set
  • Assessment Tasks and Tools: Contains suggested assessment tasks
  • Marking Guide: A guide to marking the suggested assessment tasks
  • Mapping Matrix: Maps the assessment tasks with the requirements of the skill set and units of competency
  • Enterprise Information Guide: For enterprises thinking about employing a trainee or embarking on a skills development program for staff to meet the requirements of the skill set

An information session will be run via webinar to discuss the materials and skill set. Contact [email protected] if you would like to receive more information.

The training and assessment resources were funded by the Commonwealth Government and are available for free access and download on the Skills Impact website.

Change of Scope Waiver

The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) is currently waiving fees for a number of charges, in response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on training providers. AS a result, Registered Training Organisations can, without charge, put the new Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Operator Induction Skill Set on scope.

Refer to ASQAs fees and charges relief page for more information.
