Our Role Establishing Skills Insight JSC

Skills Impact held a Skills Service Organisation (SSO) role between 2016 and 2022. In 2023 we established one of ten Job and Skills Councils (JSCs), after a submission to move into the role was backed by over 200 letters of support from a broad range of industry stakeholders. This new JSC, Skills Insight, has a broader scope to deliver outcomes that support a responsive VET system and a skilled and resilient national workforce. The industry coverage of Skills Insight is similar to our past coverage as a Skills Service Organisation.

Industry Associations & Unions Invited to Comment on Digital Transformation

With the global COVID-19 pandemic accelerating existing trends in digital transformation, the VET sector has a vital role to play in supporting Australian industry and the nation’s workforce.

We encourage you to take part in a survey to help shape the Digital Transformation Expert Panel’s advice to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC).

The Panel has been formed to provide advice on how the VET system “can most effectively respond to digital change underway across industry and its impact on the nation’s workforce”.

The survey is open until 30 July 2020.
