Help define the national skills standards for green walls & rooftop gardens

Three new units of competency and three new skill sets have been developed to address the skills required to design, construct and maintain rooftop gardens, green walls and green facades.

Green walls and rooftop gardens can offer many benefits to communities living in urban areas, helping to cool our cities, manage stormwater and improve air quality. As the relevant technology becomes more accessible and with government policy supporting the trend, green walls and rooftop gardens are becoming more common, creating job opportunities in the sector.

With the growing demand for skilled workers in this area, it is important that the relevant skills are captured in the national skills standards.

Now is your chance to have your say on how these skills are defined. Drafts of the units and skill sets are currently available for your review and comment on the project page.
