Equine Dentistry & Massage Skills Standards for Validation

We received significant feedback on the draft qualification and skills standards that relate to equine dentistry and massage. This feedback required additional time for subject matter experts to consider and discuss with the Animal Care and Management Industry Reference Committee.

A revised draft Diploma of Equine Allied Health and units for equine dentistry and massage have now been produced. They are available for validation and comment from 13-27 July 2021.

Your feedback and expertise is needed to check that the documents reflect real work practices and the skills required of equine dentistry and massage.

Horse Care Qualifications & Skills Standards

This project is looking at the skills standards across a range job roles and activities involved in maintaining the welfare of horses. Thank you to everybody that provided validation and comment on these skills standards that were available between 22 June and 6 July 2021. All validation comments are being considered by the subject matter expert working group, and where appropriate the Animal Care and Management Industry Reference Committee, to produce the final drafts that will move through to the Finalisation stage of the project.
