Draft Skills Standards for Australian Native and Bush Food Being Prepared for Submission

Working with native Australian plants requires unique expertise across the supply chain. As the industry expands, it is important that these skills are captured in national skills standards.

Your input has been collected on three draft skill sets and one unit that describe the skills required for working with Australian native and bush foods.

The drafts are now progressing through the finalisation stage, having undergone an edit and equity and independent quality assurance process and consideration by the Food, Beverage and Pharmaceutical Industry Reference Committee. The skill sets and unit are now being considered by the State/Territory Training Authorities (STAs/TTAs). After this they will be forwarded to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) and State and Territory Skills Ministers for their endorsement.
