Draft Pig and Poultry Farming Qualifications and Skills Standards Available for Validation

Australia’s pig and poultry farming industries rely on skills in biosecurity, work health and safety, and animal welfare practices to produce high quality pork, poultry meat and eggs. It is important the national skills standards for this work are kept up to date so that they match current job functions, terminology, equipment and legislation.

Your feedback has been used to inform further updates to draft qualifications, skill sets and units for pig and poultry farming. The updated documents are now available for validation and further comment.

They have been updated so that they are clearer and more accurately reflect industry skills requirements.
