The Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Meat Processing have been revised as part of this project, to support the leadership and management skills industry requires to keep up with strong global and local demands for Australian meat.
The meat industry has for some years been used to one qualification being embedded in another as they have seen this as a pathway into higher level qualifications. However, nesting of the Diploma within the Advanced Diploma is no longer allowed, according to the recently revised Standards for Training Packages 2012.
As a result, the qualifications have been revised and are available for consultation and feedback.
The draft qualifications are available on the Skills Impact website for feedback until 22 July 2020, along with some consultation questions, however any feedback is welcome.
