Cases For Change: Horse Education & Animal Incident Management

We are seeking your feedback on two draft Cases for Change to review and develop units of competency, skill sets and qualifications for the animal care and management industry, for the following priority skills.
  • Horse Education
  • Animal Incident Management

The Cases for Change sets out evidence for proposed changes to the ACM Animal Care and Management Training Package (i.e. qualifications, skill sets and units of competency). It includes the scope of the research, analysis and industry engagement undertaken to collate the evidence base.

We are seeking your feedback on whether the draft Cases for Change accurately describe industry skills gaps and the need to review or develop qualifications, skill sets and units of competency. Feedback is being collected until 22 April 2018.

The draft Cases for Change has been prepared by Skills Impact under the direction of the Animal Care and Management Industry Reference Committee (IRC). They have been developed out of the Animal Care and Management IRC Skills Forecast and the Racing IRC Skills Forecast.

The draft Cases for Change will be submitted from the IRC to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) for their consideration. If approved by the AISC, the Cases for Change will form the basis of a project to review and develop relevant qualifications, skill sets and units of competency.
