Agriculture, Horticulture, Conservation and Land Management Projects Published on National Register

Thanks to the efforts of everyone involved in the projects listed below, the qualifications and skills standards for a range of sectors and job roles have been updated to better reflect current practices and skills needs. The qualifications, skill sets and units have been endorsed by the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) and State and Territory Ministers, and are now published on the national register (training.gov.au).

Animal Reproduction Project

Livestock farmers have been adopting technologies such as sensors, trackers and ultrasound equipment to build on the skills they’ve used to manage animal reproduction for generations.

These technologies provide farmers with improved methods of monitoring animals and managing breeding programs, but they require updated technical and digital skills to operate.

The updated qualifications and skill sets produced out of this project capture the updated technical and digital skills required to work with these technologies.
