Skills Impact held a Skills Service Organisation (SSO) role between 2016 and 2022. In 2023 we established one of ten Job and Skills Councils (JSCs), after a submission to move into the role was backed by over 200 letters of support from a broad range of industry stakeholders. This new JSC, Skills Insight, has a broader scope to deliver outcomes that support a responsive VET system and a skilled and resilient national workforce. The industry coverage of Skills Insight is similar to our past coverage as a Skills Service Organisation.
Help celebrate the work of Australian farmers on National Agriculture Day (AgDay), next Wednesday 21 November. Now in its second year, AgDay is supported by the National Farmers’ Federation and the Federal Department of Agriculture & Water Resources. To highlight the environmental and social benefits of farming, this year’s AgDay theme is ‘Grow for Good’.
Skills Impact is excited to get behind AgDay, and we encourage you to get involved too, whether that means wearing green, or attending one of the many AgDay events. Tweet or follow along in the AgDay spirit with the hashtags #AgDayAU and #GrowforGood or enter the photo competition.
A number of Skills Impact’s planned events happily coincide with AgDay, falling on or near the date. This is your chance to give feedback on national skills standards in areas related to Agriculture.
