Alison Carmichael has extensive experience in membership-based and not-for-profit organisations in a variety of roles, including chief executive officer, consultant, senior manager, company secretary and board director.

Her executive experience has been in industry organisations, such as irrigation, energy efficiency, forestry and product stewardship – all having accreditation or certification programs, with associated information and training activities.

Prior to taking up these positions, Alison was a partner in a consulting business. In this role, she facilitated planning and evaluation processes for Natural Resource Management (NRM) committees, landcare and agricultural commodity groups, and oversaw the development of training and communications collateral for chemical use, farm forestry, irrigation and rural water metering.

Alison has qualifications in agriculture and adult learning, is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of both the Australasian Society of Association Executives and the Australian Institute of Training and Development.
