Skills Impact held a Skills Service Organisation (SSO) role between 2016 and 2022. In 2023 we established one of ten Job and Skills Councils (JSCs), after a submission to move into the role was backed by over 200 letters of support from a broad range of industry stakeholders. This new JSC, Skills Insight, has a broader scope to deliver outcomes that support a responsive VET system and a skilled and resilient national workforce. The industry coverage of Skills Insight is similar to our past coverage as a Skills Service Organisation.

Revised Skills Standards for Advanced Wine Operations
Large-scale wineries require input from a team of skilled people, often drawing on temporary workers to supplement the workforce during harvest and vintage. Coordination and leadership of this workforce is key during these busy times.
New units have been developed to address the need for advanced skills in the wine industry. The Certificate III in Wine Industry Operations has been updated with these units. Feedback that was received during the previous stage of this project has been considered to redraft versions of these documents.
These final draft units and qualification are now available for validation until 1 November 2019. To provide comment, visit the project page.
