Our Role Establishing Skills Insight JSC

Skills Impact held a Skills Service Organisation (SSO) role between 2016 and 2022. In 2023 we established one of ten Job and Skills Councils (JSCs), after a submission to move into the role was backed by over 200 letters of support from a broad range of industry stakeholders. This new JSC, Skills Insight, has a broader scope to deliver outcomes that support a responsive VET system and a skilled and resilient national workforce. The industry coverage of Skills Insight is similar to our past coverage as a Skills Service Organisation.

New Projects: Carbon, Agribusiness Management & Viticulture

Two new projects are now underway to review qualifications, skill sets and units of competency relating to carbon farming, agribusiness management and viticulture. SSO Contract Extension

We are pleased to announce that Skills Impact’s contract as a Skills Service Organisation has been extended until December 2020. PwC’s Skills for Australia, the SSO responsible for business services, has released a communique prepared on behalf of the Business Services Industry Reference Committee (IRC). It outlines the upcoming review of the BSB Business Services Training Package, which will include over 500 units of competency. Animal Care & Management Projects: Qualifications & Units Submitted for Endorsement

The final draft qualifications, skill sets and units of competency, along with two Companion Volume Implementation Guides, have now been submitted to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) as part of a Case for Endorsement for the ACM Animal Care and Management Training Package version 2.0. Once the qualifications, skill sets and units of competency are endorsed, the AISC will issue a communique.
